A celebration of life

"LIFE IS A SERIES OF COLLISIONS WITH THE FUTURE;
IT IS NOT A SUM OF WHAT WE HAVE BEEN BUT WHAT WE YEARN TO BE"

JOSE ORTEGAY GASSETT

When you think back about the past it always looks better than it was and it seems pleasant because it isn't the here and now. Even though you have a tendency to remember only the good collisions or encounters, you know there were some bad or rough times. The “now” is a summation of those encounters in your attempt at fulfilling your dreams and aspirations. You create your fate each day by what you yearn for so for today, TODAY is the day! All of today’s collisions should bring hope for tomorrow because hope looks at problems as opportunities. Tomorrow may hold a promise for your yearnings to be but it is never promised. Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the rest of your life.

RANDOM REFLECTIONS

  •   To get on in life, face forward. You can’t make the trip using a rear view mirror.
  •    To aim at the best and to remain essentially yourself is one and the same thing.
  •    Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what the hell happened.
  •    Happiness is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with it.
